No. Bring Your Own Sensors (BYOS) is the product: AgWaterAI runs on Sentek, METER, Irrometer, AquaSpy, and other standard soil moisture probes at $20/acre/year, starting with a free 30-day trial on your existing feed. Nothing gets ripped out.

How is AgWaterAI different from hardware-first platforms like Phytech or CropX?

Hardware-first platforms generally start by installing their own sensors, and the software reads that hardware. AgWaterAI can start from compatible probes already in the field, then adds three trained models in the decision path (same-day stress detection, daily water-use prediction, sensor-anomaly watch), a rules engine mined from a CCA's real decisions, and a physics water balance, built on daily Central Valley data since 2016 on the oldest site. SGMA totals and reports remain gated on complete meter and allocation evidence.

What does it cost to try?

Honest answer: the PULSE held-out-site median is R² 0.6539, while the established-site temporal walk-forward result is R² 0.9076. Those are different evaluation settings. A new farm gets measured monitoring and allocation tools first; we do not promise that it will reach the established-site score.
