For Corporate Sustainability + Procurement Teams

Review water-use evidencefrom California permanent crops.

AgWaterAI keeps water-use records across California permanent-crop operations under SGMA pressure: reading summaries are signed, and each issued order is kept with the readings behind it. Our records are built to supply the measured inputs that volumetric water benefit accounting relies on. We are not a verifier, a registry or a credit seller.

If you fund

Water replenishment programs

We can supply the measured data a program needs: applied water from the grower’s own well meters, each figure dated to its meter’s last reading, and the signed records behind it. The baseline is agreed with you. The project developer, the verifier and the funder own the benefit claim. Talk to us.

What we would work out with you

If you operate

Data centers in CA

Check that the farms are in the basin you need, then review the measured evidence with your project developer and verifier.

Methodology summary

What a proposed credit project must establish.

01

Sensor + flow ingest

Soil moisture probes report every 15 minutes. Where a flow meter with telemetry is installed, pump runtime and volume come in too, with CIMIS ETo. Each feed is stored with its time and source.

02

AI models compute

Trained models and a physics water balance estimate per-block water use against the SGMA allocation. Estimates stay separate from meter readings.

03

Signed reading summaries

Each day's reading summaries are signed, each one chained to the previous day's, and each issued order is kept with the readings behind it. A buyer can check the signatures without contacting us. Signing the issued orders themselves is proposed, not running today.

04

Additionality review

Any proposed project needs a defensible baseline and an assessment of additional conservation, return flows, leakage and uncertainty. No universal deduction or credit volume is established.

05

Independent record

Reading summaries from the sensors and flow meters are kept in a tamper-evident record that an auditor can check on their own.

06

Who owns the claim

The project developer, the verifier and the funder own the benefit claim, including how it is calculated and verified. We would supply the measured data and the signed records behind it. No AgWaterAI credits have been registry-issued or retired to date.

Current limits

Customer dashboards operate in California permanent crops (Tulare, Madera and Kern counties). The field history includes 320 site-years of sensor data, with daily data from the oldest site since 2016. A credit project needs independent evidence, a recognized method and an independent verifier. A signed record alone does not establish a water benefit.

Talk to our partnerships team.

We’ll walk through your program, the farms involved and the measured evidence available. The program’s method and its verifier decide what counts as a benefit.
